Random Delights

Holly: Sorry to hear your hamster died Bob... Bob: Window cleaners for British rail should watch out for flying man-eating deckchairs today, swimming in from the south along with the flea-ridden coathangers. The muffin man is responsible for the sudden outburst of rain yesterday as he forgot to pay the rent on his blue strawberries. I'm sorry, did you say you wanted a biscuit? Holly: Random! Custard cream please.

Wear it pink - can you ?

On the delightful day of October 27th 2006 - my love of pink came to prove useful at work. October is designated Breast Cancer Awareness month in the UK. One of the biggest fundraisers is Wear it Pink day.

WearitPink.co.uk
Thankfully, it was like a day I had been born for. A day I had been preparing for years for. Check out how much fun we all had....

My favourite part of the day, was walking to lunch and a little girl spotted me. She was just coming out of the toilet with her mum. The little girl saw me and started saying "Look Mum look. Mum look, look. Mum, look you are missing it, Mum look". At which point the mum stuck her head out the door and said "Oh yes, look it's a butterfly". Yep, that's me folks. I'm the nurse otherwise known as a butterfly.

Anyone know of any other fundraising days, that you get to wear pink? I'm up for it....
