Random Delights

Holly: Sorry to hear your hamster died Bob... Bob: Window cleaners for British rail should watch out for flying man-eating deckchairs today, swimming in from the south along with the flea-ridden coathangers. The muffin man is responsible for the sudden outburst of rain yesterday as he forgot to pay the rent on his blue strawberries. I'm sorry, did you say you wanted a biscuit? Holly: Random! Custard cream please.

No more sleeps to go !!

Hillsong Conference 2007 is here at last
After months of planning, stategising, phoning, more planning, emailing and thinking it is here at last. And that was just me.... I can't even begin to think how much more planning must have gone into actually making sure the conference was organised. I am here amongst the greatest of friends, ready for an encounter with the big fella above. I have often heard friends come back from conference fired up and ready to change the world. Well world.... I am ready to change you. I am so excited about all the incredibly people I will encounter, the teaching, the praise, the just generalised amazingness of being amongst a crowd of people with a like-hearted sense of expectation.
Wow.. how funny. For the first time in long time I can hear the sound of a lawn mower. And I can see real sunshine. Back-warming sunshine. I find it funny that I am still wearing the same type of clothes as I would be in London. It just doesn't rain so much in Sydney. No need for an umbrella.
There is so much more of this holiday to be experienced, but already I feel like a new person with a brand new sense of what I have been called forth to do on this earth. There are hurt and broken people all over the world, not just in London. There are things to put right, and I just know that I have a part to play in this.
So who knows what the next blog will be about. Maybe just filled with more stories of fun and fabulousness, or maybe even a photo or two. Until then, I am off to sit in the sunshine and smile happily to myself.
